The businesses that have the contacts are the ones that get the breaks as business is cliquey. If you have a relationship with someone, they are far more likely to choose you as their partner.

Retailers also love to maximize the space in their stores so that they can sell more. The logic is simple: the smaller the item, the more space for other items. And, that increases the chances of making more sales and money. As a result, they don’t like bulky items that take up lots of room. In fact, they hate it because it takes away from their profits. The key, then, is to make your item as small as possible. Any product that takes up unnecessary space is going to be a reject.

Any business that undercuts their rivals and still makes a profit is going to be welcome in most stores.

Your product won’t grace any high street stores unless it is going to sell units. At the end of the day, the stores only care about how much money they are going to make. If you cannot make them money, you can forget about hitting the shelves.
